Appointments are currently only available virtually through our secure HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform, Practice Better. Virtual Nutrition Counseling is not available to clients in the following states: Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee and Wyoming.
The initial consultation is the first step of Nutrition Counseling, In-season Sports Nutrition, and Off-season Sports Nutrition. During this 75-minute session, we will discuss your health and wellness goals. We will do a thorough review of your current health status, dietary intake, medical history, and family history. We will review your current diet and lifestyle and determine how they align with your health and wellness goals. You will leave this session with an initial action plan of 1-3 steps to take towards your goals. From the information gathered, your nutritionist will draft an individualized plan, which will be broken down into weekly and monthly achievable tasks.
Follow-up consultations are the second type of counseling for Nutrition Counseling, In-season Sports Nutrition, and Off-season Sports Nutrition. Each follow-up consultation is a 45-minute or 25-minute counseling session where we review your progress towards previously defined goals and determine a continued path for success. We will discuss any changes in performance, recovery, sleep, mood, energy, stress level and/or health condition and determine tasks that work towards your goals and individualized plan.
